JAY MEEK is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Syracuse University. Headlands: New and Selected Poems is his sixth book of poems from Carnegie Mellon University Press. He is the recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Bush Foundation, and the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation. His poems and reviews have appeared in numerous journals, and he has co-edited several collections, including After the Storm: Poems on the Persian Gulf War. He has been visiting writer at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Memorial University of Newfoundland, University of Memphis, Sarah Lawrence College, and Wichita State University. He teaches at the University of North Dakota.
