A reissuing of Sadoff’s seminal 1978 volume of poetry

Sadoff’s subject, as Jon Anderson once remarked, is sadness . . . rendered with intelligence, accuracy, and poignancy.

IRA SADOFF is the author of eight collections of poetry, most recently True Faith (2012), Barter (2003) and Grazing (1998). His Ira Sadoff Reader compiled selected poems, published essays and short stories. He is also the author of one novel, Uncoupling, and a critical book on contemporary poetry, aesthetics and politics. He teaches in the M.F.A. Program at Drew University and at Colby College.
