LAURIE LAMON is professor of English at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. She received her doctorate from the University of Utah and her M.F.A. in Poetry Writing from the University of Montana. Her poems have appeared in many journals and magazines, including The Atlantic Monthly, The New Republic, The New Criterion, Arts & Letters Journal of Contemporary Culture, Ploughshares, Colorado Review, Primavera and Poetry Northwest. She was awarded a Witter Bynner fellowship at the Library of Congress by Poet Laureate Donald Hall.
