This volume presents a detailed analysis of the excavations of one of Pessinus’ major cemeteries in ancient times.

This volume presents the results of five excavation projects at the so-called Acropolis-site in Pessinus (Central Anatolia) conducted by a team of experts from Ghent University (1987–1991).



HUGO THOEN was Professor of Roman and Provincial-Roman Archeology and currently Honorary Professor at Ghent University. FRANK VERMEULEN is Professor of Roman Archaeology and Archaeological Methodology at Ghent University. JOHN DEVREKER was Chair of the Department of Archeology and Ancient History of Europe and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy at Ghent University prior to his retirement.
