New Issues Poetry & Prose
2016 • 91 pp. 7 x 9 3/4"

$16.00 Paperback, 978-1-936970-42-1

The collection is a playful (but not unserious) exploration of the mysteries of being and non-being, as well as of threshold states between them and the places where they overlap.

Reviews / Endorsements

“I sometimes think of Claire Bateman as an informant from another world. Her poems take me places I have never been—they let me see the everyday as transcendent. After reading Scape, I was filled with a sense of wonder and awe. Clearly, there’s nothing like the Claire Bateman experience. She is nothing short of brilliant.”—Nin Andrews

CLAIRE BATEMAN has been awarded Individual Artist Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Tennessee Arts Commission, and the Surdna Foundation, as well as two Pushcart Prizes, and has taught at Clemson University and various workshops and conferences.
